Nightmare Pillows
A series of pillows emerging out of my graduate thesis, Death is The Catalyst and Everything Else is the Response. I have always had nightmares and kept a dream journal. Because of that, I created a series of erasure poems titled, “I Love Nightmares That’s Why I Keep Having Them" using the content from my and nine volunteers' dream journals for the words. I hand embroider these poems onto pillows made of found materials, creating a new perspective and a new understanding of the emotionality and meanings of our dreams.
